Document Description
Construct and maintain a defensible space zone, up to 130 horizontal feet wide, around the Auburn Sector Office Compound to reduce the risk of damage to the facilities by wildfire. This work will involve cutting (manual and/or mechanical) vegetation, spraying invasive exotic species ith hercicides (active ingredients - triclopyr or glyphosate), and/or pile burning. Heavy equipment may be used to cut and move vegetation. Defensible space zone/fuel break maintenance work will occur every two years, or as funding permits. The vegetation modification will be ocnsistent with the Deparment's March 2009 Guidelines for the Protection o Structures from Wildland Fire.
