Document Description
The project is on property owned and controlled by the San Andreas Sanitary District. The project area is approximately 68 acres in size. The project area and surrounding area would best be described as oak woodland with gently rolling topography. The property currently contains dense stands for interior live oak. CAL FIRE hand crews will reduce ladder fuels and surface fuels by cutting, piling and burning, or chipping brush and trees less than 10-inches diameter at breast height to create a shaded fuel break condition. Residual trees will be spaced to approximately 10 feet between live crowns. Residual trees may be pruned up approximately 8 feet. Approximately 85 crew days have been allotted for this project.
