- This project involves ongoing maintenance of the access road to the Mount Zion Lookout. The segment of road which will be maintained by CAL FIRE is shown on the USGS Quad Map, beginning at the northern boundary of Mount Zion State Forest (at the terminus of the County Road) extending from this point south for approximately 3/8 mile to the lookout. Maintenance activities will include re-grading with a road grader and re-gravelling as required. Work will be limited to the existing road prism which is approximately 20 feet wide. Ongoing maintenance work will be initiated approximately every two or three years or sooner if needed. This NOE will cover ongoing road maintenance for approximately 10 years.
