- Remove the invasive non-native Giant reed plants and perform trail maintenance at the north end of Loop Trail in Hatfield State Recreation Area to enhance the area. Work will cut and excavate the Giant reed stems and roots, burn cuttings and treat any stumps with herbicide to prevent the Giant reed from re-sprouting. Additional work will remove debris and trim vegetation along the trail to restore it to its approximately 48" width.
