Document Description
Conduct a prescribed burn on approximately 150 acres of mixed conifer forest near the South Grove at Calaveras Big Trees State Park to restore the natural role of fire, improve wildlife habitat, reduce fuel hazard, and reduce fuel density to protect the giant sequoia grove. Project will comply with California State Park, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, and local Air Pollution Control District regulations.
