Document Description
The project will fund the installation, upgrade, and expansion of public plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) chargers at five end-of-the-line transit facilities in the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro) service area. One facility is already equipped with PEV chargers, while the other four will require electrical infrastructure to support the PEV chargers. The project benefits the public by increasing the number of publicly accessible PEV charging stations, thereby promoting the use of alternative and renewable vehicle technology, reducing reliance on petroleum fuels, and reducing greenhouse gas and other hazardous air pollutant emissions.
