Document Description
The project consists of a short-term, temporary storage of up to 300 acre-feet of treated drinking water from the Stanislaus River in the groundwater aquifers under Tracy. The demonstration test program will involve the utilization of the City's existing demonstration well No. 8 for the injection, storage, and recovery of potable drinking water. The purpose of this project is to enhance delivered water quality to customers, increase the reliability of surface water supplies, and by improving the potable water supple, reduce the salinity of wastewater discharge. After preparation of an Initial Study/Environmental Assessment, it has been determined that there will be no significant environmental effects as a result of this project.
