Document Description
Proposed MSRF project includes a 768-bed correctional facility and surface parking for 164 vehicles. The MSRF would replace three existing correctional facilities at 1580 and 1590 Maple Street in Redwood City, CA and alleviate overcrowding in a fourth facility in downtown Redwood City, CA. Project construction would require the deconstruction or demolition of existing light industrial buildings on the project site, site preparation and building construction, and utility improvements. In addition, the Sheriff's Office would make minor modification to the Maguire Correctional Facility (MCF) to accommodate changes to existing visitation and support service operations that would occur with operation of the MSRF.
