Document Description
CLWA desires to extend the individual agreement term of its two groundwater banking projects with the Semitropic Water Storage District for ten additional years to 2022 and 2024, respectively (Project). Under existing conditions, the net remaining recoverable balance of 45,920 AF can either be requested by CLWA before the 2012/2013, or the Agency can approve the Project, and extend the terms to 2022 and 2024 respectively, during which time the same amount of water can be requested for extraction. CLWA plans to withdraw from the bank only in dry years and it would not constitute a permanent annual source of supply. The overall objective of this Project will be to increase the period of time by which the reliability of SWP deliveries are marginally increased when SWP deliveries are substantially less the CLWA demand.
