Document Description
The project is comprised of two actions: (1) the reconductoring of an existing power line system by rebuilding it as a double circuit line through the replacement of poles and towers and upgrading the substations and (2) constructing a new switching station to connect together several different transmission lines into a common bus. The project will result in impacts to 79.02 acres of CA tiger salamander and San Joaquin kit fox habitat including temporary impacts to 72.1 acres; the project will permanently remove 6.32 acres of CA tiger salamander and San Joaquin kit fox habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of CA tiger salamander and San Joaquin kit fox, which are designated as a threatened species under the CA Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by DFG authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of project implementation. CDFW issued the ITP, as amended.
