The project is comprised of two actions: (1) the reconductoring of an existing power line system by rebuilding it as a double circuit line through the replacement of poles and towers and upgrading the substations and (2) constructing a new switching station to connect together several different transmission lines into a common bus. The project will result in impacts to 79.02 acres of CA tiger salamander and San Joaquin kit fox habitat including temporary impacts to 72.1 acres; the project will permanently remove 6.32 acres of CA tiger salamander and San Joaquin kit fox habitat.
