Document Description
The proposed project involves the construction of approximately seven miles on lined canal, three pump stations, and the installation of approximately 5,000 feet of 72" diameter reinforced concrete pipe. This water conveyance facility will be used to deliver up to 5,000 acre feet per year of irrigation water transferred from Stevinson Water District and the Eastside Canal and Irrigation Company (a private mutual water company) to San Luis Canal Company, and then transfer an equivalent amount of water from San Luis Canal Company to Panoche Water District through the Central Valley Project. The water transferred from Stevinson Water District and the Eastside Canal and Irrigation Company will be developed through water conservation projects already implemented by those agencies.
