Document Description
The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) would provide funding to the Mammoth Lakes Recreation to construct the Sherwins Trailhead. The Trailhead footprint will be approximately 25,000 square feet. It will include a paved parking including ADA accessible parking, ADA accessible double vault toilets, ADA accessible interpretive and educational kiosks, bicycle parking rack, free public transit bus terminal (service provided by Eastern Sierra Transit Authority) and a bicycle maintenance station (bike pump, bike tools, bike stand). The facility will provide an improved user experience and mitigate environmental impacts through public access improvements, education, safety, and sanitation.
