Document Description
The proposed Test Well consists of an 8" diameter well with a 5" diameter casing suitable for a 4" nominal submersible pump, to a depth of between 500 feet and approximately 700 feet, a depth similar to the water wells operated by the Mammoth Community Water District (MCWD) with water temperatures ranging from 55 degrees F to 75 degrees F. The Test Well will allow flow testing and a temperature survey for the purpose of determining the suitability of low temperature (i.e., below 86 degrees F) geothermal resources.
