Document Description
This project involves renovations and facility upgrades to portions of the second, third, fifth, sixth, and seventh floors (25,000 gsf) of Boelter Hall (386,500 gsf) to create collaborative laboratories to support research space for sustainable water and energy research, sustainable infrastructure, bio-sustainability, and sustainable enviro-bio-nano technology. The scope of work would include reconfiguration of existing wet and dry labs to accommodate new wet laboratory uses; upgrades to existing chases; installation of exhaust, make-up air ducts, and fume hoods; upgrades to exhaust system valves and utilities; replacement of rooftop fans; installation of new electrical panels; upgrades to cooling and deionized water systems; installation of a central acid waste system; accessibility upgrades to restrooms triggered by the work; hazardous materials abatement; and repairs to building systems and finishes impacted by the work.
