Document Description
This is a fuel hazard reduction project located around the community of Paradise, California. The project will concentrate on the construction of fuel breaks along major travel ways and escape routes in the town of Paradise. Portions of the project may also be located within major Butte County road rights-of-way above and below Paradise. The project will create fuel breaks of varying width (but not wider than 15 feet on any side of a road) in areas of historic fire occurrence or where strategic location will aid suppression effort in the event of wild fire around the community. The project will consists of hand cutting, piling, and burning of vegetative material within designated fuel break (fuels reduction) area.
