Document Description
Potholing is to be carried out in approximately 20 locations, in order to accurately determine the horizontal and vertical locations together with the dimensions and type of material comprising the casings of various utility lines that cross the levee. This information is necessary in order to facilitate the design of levee improvements. The potholing will be carried out by a vacuum truck in order to minimize potential damage to a utility line. The holes will be approximately four to six feet deep. Native soil will be suctioned into a tank aboard the truck and backfilled into the holes. The project will be completed within two weeks, weather permitting.
