The EIS for the Drakes Bay Oyster Company (DBOC) Special Use Permit examines four alternatives. The no-action alternative considers expiration of the existing SUP (expires November 30, 2012) and conversion of the area to congressionally designated wilderness. Three alternatives consider the issuance of a new SUP for a period of ten years, with differing levels of onshore facilities, infrastructure, and offshore operations. Beneficial and adverse impacts are assessed for all four alternatives evaluated in the EIS.
