NOTES: Review Per Lead The proposed action is to construct a new 8,9000sf AAFES Shoppette/Class VI (i.e. tobacco and alcohol sales) store with Car Center at Edwards AFB. The location proposed for construction of the new facility on Fitz-Gerald Blvd is across the street from the Base Commissary and Base Exchange. The Shoppette/Car Care Center would feature a Shoppette/Class VI store; a 3-vehicle service bay Car Care Center; propane tank refueling; an air/water and vacuum station; and 10 multiproduct gasoline dispensers with an overhead canopy roofing system. Parking would surround the building on all sides. Demolition/deconstruction of the existing Service Station will include removal of the existing fuel storage tanks (above and underground); fuel islands; debris removal; and ground surface grading.
