Document Description
Joint NEPA/CEQA Document for the rehabilitation and improvement of ten (10) City sidewalks corners to install wheelchair ramps, including curb returns and curb ramps in order to be in compliance with the latest Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards. The proposed curb ramp improvements will necessitate the removal and relocation of utility poles, guy wires, street signs, existing storm drain inlets and the removal of one (1) ornamental yew bush at the southeast corner of First and Shasta Streets. The curb and gutter will be replaced and minor conform paving between the streets and edges of the gutters will be necessary. All work is proposed to occur within existing City rights-of-way. The project is funded by the State of California Community Development Block Grant No. 08-STBG-4874 ($50,000).
