Document Description
Note: Review per lead
The Campbell Avenue Portals Project would create pedestrian tunnels - portals - behind the existing bent walls of the Highway 17/ East Campbell Avenue underpass. The creation of the walkways within the new portals would allow the removal of the existing sidewalks in the underpass as all pedestrian circulation would now occur inside the portals. With removal of the sidewalks on either side of Campbell Avenue, the project would increase pavement width of Campbell Avenue in the underpass by approximately nine feet. The additional pavement width will be used to reconfigure the lane striping to create separated bicycle lanes on both sides of the street.
