Document Description
Establishment of a Specific Plan for approximately 61.5 gross acres to allow for the demolition and removal of 245 residential units, a community center, and commercial building (all a part of former U.S. Navy housing) for the new construction of up to 700 residential units and a 2.42 acre public park with 1,887 parking spaces. Included are the following entitlements: 1) A General Plan Amendment to a) change the land use designation of the site from Low Residential and Open Space to Low Medium II; b) amend Footnote No. 2 to read "Maximum height of 30 feet from adjacent grade except for the PVSP zone"; and g) add a footnote establishing the Ponte Vista at San Pedro Specific Plan for the project site and provide correspondence of the Low Medium II residential land use designation; 2) A Zone Change from OS-1XL and R1-1XL to PVSP; 3)the establishment of the Ponte Vista at San Pedro Specific Plan; and a request for a Code Amendment to sections 12.04 and 12.16.8 of the Code to establish the Ponte Vista at San Pedro Specific Plan. Also included is Vesting Tentative Tract map no. 71886 for the subdivision of the property. The project site is located at 26900 and 27812 South Western Avenue in the Wilmington-Harbor City Community in the City of Los Angeles.
