Document Description
Peoples' Self-Help Corporation proposes to construct and operates a 100% affordable rental housing project for Carpinteria-area low and very-low income families. All of the existing 47 travel trailers at the Carpinteria Camper Park, several accessory structures and an adjacent single family dwelling would be removed. The single family dwelling and 17 of the travel trailers are currently occupied. Seven apartment buildings are proposed in a variety of 2 story configurations. In all, 43 apartment units would be developed on 2.68 acres resulting in a density of 16 units/acre. A community center to serve the residents is also proposed and would include administration offices, an assemble room and kitchen, classroom and computer lab, exam and reception room and laundry facilities. 79 parking spaces would be provided.
