- Document Description
- The proposed project is the development of a 49.9 megawatt (MW-net) geothermal power plant and wellfield on 326.26 acres of mostly agricultural land within the Salton Sea Known Geothermal Resource Area in Imperial County, California. The project would include a geothermal flash power plant consisting of a brine production facility, a turbine generator facility, a turbine generator facility, and supporting geothermal production and injection wells and associated pipelines. The electric generating plant would connect to the Imperial Irrigation District's (IID's) interconnection transmission line to the Hudson Ranch 1 Geothermal Project, which will transport geothermal energy generated from these power plants to the existing electrical transmission grid system.
