Document Description
An interconnection with the Chino II Desalter (CDA) that has recently been constructed. This interconnection will allow the transfer of 3,435 acre-feet per year (AFY) of treated groundwater from the Chino Basin to the 30-inch Arlington Desalter Pipeline that will be used to serve Western's customers, the Cities of Norco and Corona. While the capacity of the pipeline is 20 cubic feet per second (cfs), it is anticipated that the delivery of CDA water to the Arlington system will be at a constant rate of 6 cfs. The groundwater is treated using reverse osmosis and chlorinated prior to delivery to the distribution system. The Chino II Desalter and the Arlington Desalter both use free chlorine as the primary disinfection method.
