Document Description
The proposed project is an expansion of an existing legal non-conforming fairy from 1,785 animal units (650 Holstein milk cows plus 1,135 support stock) to a maximum of 2,678 total animal units (1,500 Holstein mile cows plus 1,932 support stock) on 72 acres of a 667-acre site in the AE-40 (Exclusive Agricultural - 40 acre minimum) Zone. The dairy facility will house the milking herd and the support stock in shaded freestalls and open corrals with flushed lanes. The balance of the site would remain in current agricultural production as farmable acres of wheat/corn silage (double cropped).
