Construct a new K-6th grade elementary school campus on a 9-acre site on the south side of the 4100 block of Wooley Road, in the City of Oxnard. The school would accommodate 896 students and would provide 29 classrooms in six separate buildings. The proposed project includes about 2.7 acres of publicly accessible parkland and an additional approximately 3.6 acres of joint use and civic use facilities open to the public on off-school times and days. The proposed joint use facilities include a 1.4-acre play field and a 1.35-acre playground area; the civic use facilities include the school multi-purpose building/library. Project approvals include amendments of the Coastal Development Permit and amendment of the Local Coastal program to allow this school as a permitted use for this site within the Mandalay Bay Specific Plan.
