Document Description
This project involves installation of a gate and post barrier at the park's Pier Avenue entrance. The gate and posts will replace 11 portable barriers that are currently used to close the entrance way. The gate will be used as needed for closures when daily use capacity is met, ocean tide prohibits entrance and for entrance ramp maintenance. Current hours of operation and beach access will not be changed by this project. Pedestrian access to the beach will remain through existing pedestrian access points. This project is intended to reduce staffing costs involved in transporting temporary gates and provide a substantial deterrent to unauthorized vehicle entry during closure.
