Document Description
Currently the 131-acre property is managed and utilized for livestock grazing and agricultural production. The proposed 3-acre project area us grazed and now provides limited riparian habitat as long term management of the property likely degraded and removed the historic extent. There are two components of work to be completed on the Fickewirth property. First is the side-by-side placement of two 89-foot-long rail cars on abutments constructed outside of the stream channel to create a 17-foot-wide clear span bridge across Coon Creek. The second component of the project includes restoring approximately 3.2 acres of valley oak riparian habitat adjacent to Coon Creek.
