Document Description
This project involves the light to moderate intensity burning of grass for the purpose of training seasonal firefighters. Project activity includes establishing perimeter & interior fire control lines utilizing both heavy equipment and/or hand tools to blade to bare mineral soil. Existing seasonal roads will also be utilized for segments of control line. The project totals approximately 45-acres and will incorporate individual burn units within the project area perimeter. Firing of these units will be conducted in a manner that allows firefighters to utilize direct attack wildland firefighting techniques.
