Document Description
The proposed Project would remove several treated lumber posts and disposing of the posts at an appropriate licensed facility. Hand tools would be used to construct a wood retaining wall along the top unnamed tributary. The wall would extend parallel to the flow of water for a distance not to exceed 20 feet, and would be constructed on 24-inch square footings with steel support pipes extending upward to a height not to exceed 24-inches (total 48-inched from bottom of footing to top of pipe). Redwood boards, approximately 2-inch thick and 12-inches wide, would be attached to the support piped and the area upstream from the wall would be backfilled with imported clean gravel and topsoil. Equipment used will include shovels and other appropriate hand tools. No trees would be removed.
