- This project involves interior renovations to 43,127 gsf of vacant space on the A,C, second and third floors of the Semel Institute tower for use by the integrative Phenotyping Center for Neuropsychiatry (IPCN). Work would include the renovation of space on the A, second, and third floors to provide new rooms for waiting, interview exams, medical exams, Phlebotomy stations, EEG exams and a sleep lab, video viewing, conferencing, offices, and workstations. The scope of work would include replacement and upgrades to building and fire/life safety systems, accessibility improvements, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, and hazardous materials abatement.

The project exempt because it consists of the renovation of an existing facility with no expansion of use beyond existing condition. Furthermore, per CEQA Section 15300.2, none of the expectations to a Categorical Exemption apply.
