Document Description
The project will fund the production and demonstration of a battery-electric 45-foot transit bus using the NABI "compobus" chassis for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). The bus will use a battery system that can operate during commuting hours and charge during the night and midday. The project will also install a charger for the bus. The project benefits the public by demonstrating the cost-effectiveness of alternative vehicles, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, providing improved public transportation service, and reducing dependence on petroleum fuels.
