Document Description
The project will fund the demonstration of an advanced ISX11.9 G natural gas engine which will be a low-emission, high efficiency engine alterative for the Class 8 truck market, suitable for regional haul and heavy vocational truck applications. Recipient will partner with Cummins Westport Inc. and Swift Transportation. The project will benefit the public by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing dependence on petroleum fuels, and demonstrating the effectiveness of alternative fuels and renewable energy.
