The project will fund the retrofitting of 12 medium- and heavy-duty Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) utility service vehicles to demonstrate the economic and environmental viability of Recipient's innovative zero-emissions HyPowerTM Hybrid system. The project benefits the public by demonstrating the cost-effectiveness of alternative vehicles, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing noise associated with diesel consumption, and reducing dependence on petroleum fuels.
There is no possibility that the proposed project will have a significant effect on the environment because the manufacture of the HyPowerTM Hybrid system and retrofit of PG&E's vehicles will take place at existing Terex facilities already enraged in such work, with no change in the surrounding environment.
