The United States Army Program Manager Defense Communications and Army Transmission System proposes to construct a Regional Hub Node, which includes the construction or installation of the three 9.2-meter Ku-Band antennas; communication baseband equipment racks; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units; and cable ladders. The RHN would be capable of supporting data, voice, and video satellite communication links in support of world-wide operations. The three satellite antennas would be constructed at an existing asphalt hellpad on the top of a hill at the SATCOM site. In order to make room for the antennas, modification of the hellpad hilltop would be required.
