Document Description
The project site is the 2010 Housing Element Update for the City of Union City. The 2010 Housing Element is a comprehensive review and update of the 2002 Housing Element background information and goals, policies, and programs. The Draft Housing Element is a policy document intended as a guide to detection-makers in meeting the City's housing objectives over the next five years. Accordingly, the draft element does not authorize specific housing development projects for specific sites. Housing projects undertaken in the course of implementing the goals, policies, and programs identified in the Draft Housing Element will be subject to project-specific environmental review in accordance with CEQA Guidelines. Any indirect impacts associated with future housing construction have already been addressed in the Union City General Plan EIR.
