Document Description
The Lost Creek Dam Improvement Project (LCDIP) would modify Lost Creek Dam, a component of the South Feather Power Project, FERC Project No. 2088-CA, to meet Probable Maximum Flood design and safety requirements established by FERC and the California Division of Safety of Dams. Modifications would include lowering the spill crest, raising the dam crest, and reinforcing/adding concrete to the downstream face of the dam to resist loads. The LCDIP would remove the roadway and bridge structure over the dam, construct a concrete batch plant nearby in Yuba County, establish a construction staging area, improve approximately 3-5 miles of roadway (between the proposed batch plant site, construction staging areas, and the dam), and entail approximately 1,000 truck roundtrips over two construction seasons (~ 8 months each).
