The California Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) proposes to implement the Browns Ravine Trail Change-in-Use Project to allow bicycle use at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area under the process outlined in the California State Parks Road and Trail Change-in-Use Evaluation Process Program EIR (CIU EIR) approved in 2013. The Browns Ravine Trail is located in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, which is approximately 25 miles east of Sacramento, off Highway 50. The 11-mile Browns Ravine Trail traverses primarily undulating terrain through grassland, oak woodland, oak savanna, ruderal and riparian habitats between Browns Ravine and Old Salmon Falls.
