The purpose of this project is to enhance the reliability of Tracy's existing water supplies. Tracy would deliver surplus Central Valley Project (CVP) supplies to Semitropic for storage in the Semitropic Water Bank. Up to 10,500 acre-feet of water may be stored and available for return to Tracy. Two successful pilot projects were previously approved and undertaken to assess the viability of this project.
