Document Description
Revised and recirculated Initial Study for a proposed neighborhood park and replacement library building. Project would be located on eight acres of vacant land in-between and adjacent to the existing Nuview Fire Station #3 and the existing Nuview Branch Library building (which would be replaced with a 5,500 square foot single-story structure). Proposed amenities include a parking lot with 100 spaces, a basketball court, tot-lot play area, picnic acres with shade structures, a skate park, amphitheatre, horseshoe pit, walking trail, open turf area, and a 280 square foot restroom/storage facility. Lakeview Avenue and 10th Street would also undergo half-width street widening improvements adjacent to the proposed park. Construction is proposed to commence in 2011 and would be completed in approximately nine months.
