- Document Description
- The project applicant (Robert Enz) is requesting an amendment to UP 858-02 to increase the permissible amount of material that may be removed from an existing mining operation from 20,000 tons per year to 100,000 tons per year. The mining operation is located on a 14-acre site at the end of Limekiln Road, near the opening of Thompson Creek canyon, consisting of a portion of APN's 26-04-14 and 26-11-02. UP 858-02 was approved by the Planning Commission in November 2003, along with Reclamation Plan 2002-14, which authorizes the applicant to mine rock from a site that is estimated to have in excess of 450,000 tons of material. The mined rock is then sold and used primarily for landscaping. As part of the requested amendment, the applicant has proposed an Operating Plan in connection with the removal of all mined material.
