Document Description
DFG is intending to execute a Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA) pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (SAA #1600-2012-0054-R5) to the Permittee, California Department of Transportation, District 11, for the reconstruction of the Interstate 5 (I-5)/Genesee Interchange bridge over the I-5 freeway, from a four lane overcrossing to a longer, wider and higher six lane overcrossing, with bicycle and pedestrian access. The project will permanently impact 1.01 acres of southern willow scrub and 0.11 acres of unvegetated streambed and will provide compensatory mitigation at a ratio of 3:1 with the creation of southern willow scrub habitat (creation of 3:36 acres) at the Deer Canyon Mitigation Site (Streambed Alteration Agreement # 1600-2011-0099-R5).
