Document Description
The City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power constructed an underwater electrode array about 2 miles offshore directly on the ocean floor at a depth of about 100 feet below mean sea level. The electrode array is composed of 36 concrete vaults, 144 electrodes, marine cables, and other related structures. The new electrode array replaced an older array system that is now abandoned. The State Lands Commission lease amendment is for the removal of the older non-operational underwater electrode array and related structures.
