Document Description
The proposed new underwater electrode array would be about 2 miles offshore directly on the ocean floor at a depth of about 100 feet below mean sea level. Based on a preliminary design, the electrode array would be composed of 36 concrete vaults, 144 electrodes, marine cables, and other related structures,. Each approx. 20-ton vault would be 20 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4 feet high. The vaults would be arranged in two rows of 18 vaults. Each vault and row would be spaced approx. 30 feet apart. The State Lands Commission action is an approval of a 20-year General Lease - Industrial Use through Dec. 5, 2036.
