Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2020-0008-R6 pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, the California Department of Transportation District 9 as represented by Katie Rodriguez. The amendment eliminates Measure 3.1 and 3.2, which required replacing native trees removed by the project (Measure 3.1) and consequently planting willows and cottonwoods at Olancha Creek (Measure 3.2). The amendment also removes Measure 4.2, which is related to Measure 3.1. The amendment includes the addition of Measure 3.4 to require the purchase of no less than 1.6 acres of episodic desert wash credits from the Coso Preserve Mitigation Bank to mitigate for the removal of cottonwoods and willows.
