- Document Description
- The proposed Southwest Parking Lot Project consists of three components: 1) Demolition of the twenty-two (22) existing residential structures; 2) Construction of a 276,400sf parking lot with accommodation for up to 700 additional parking spaces; and 3) operation of the expanded parking lot. The parking lot will provide for a mix of parking uses, but will primarily be used by students during campus operating hours. Vehicles will access the parking facility from the existing parking facility adjacent to the north. Vehicles will exit the facility from the access point from Shady Lane and from "Right Turn Only" exit points on Tulare Avenue and Woodland Drive. The parking lot will initially be constructed with a temporary surface (such as decomposed granite), but will ultimately be constructed with asphalt. The College will also seek from the City an abandonment of Laurel Lane between Woodland Drive and Shady Lane in order to construct the facility.
