- Request by the County of San Luis Obispo General Services Department to construct a new 6,615sf single story fire station (San Luis Obispo County Station 43) with apparatus bay, and site improvements. Development associated with the proposed project includes 24,000sf of paved area and two retention basins at the northwest and southwest corners of the site (700 cubic foot and 53,000 cubic foot capacity, respectively). The proposed project would generate approximately 4,300 cubic yards of cut and 4,300 cubic yards of fill material and will result in the disturbance of the entire 2.7 acre parcel. The proposed project is within the Agriculture land use category and is located east of the intersection of Highway 229 and Irongate Road, in the community of Creston, in the El Pomar-Estrella planning area.
