Document Description
The project will divert State Water Project (SWP) water to Noble Creek for groundwater recharge of the Beaumont Basin. A service connection will be constructed to divert State Water Project (SWP) flows from the existing 36" EBX/Noble Creek pipeline located at the intersection of Orchard Street and Mountain View Avenue. A pipe outlet will be extended from the service connection to the Mountain View Channel (MVC), which will convey up to 10 cubic feet per second of SWP water via the MVC to the confluence with Noble Creek. Within Noble Creek, 37 earthen temporary berms will be constructed to detain water and facilitate percolation and recharge. The berms will be constructed from earthen material already in the channel. No soils will be imported. Each year, the detention berms will be seasonally constructed in the dry season and leveled prior to the wet season.
