The project involves constructing and operating a field maintenance ship at Camp San Luis Obispo. The 17,419-sf shop would be constructed over a 12- to 14- month period. The operation phase of the proposed action would be continuation of the same level of service as at Building 1328 ( the current location of vehicle maintenance). Operations would occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week, depending on mission requirements.
